Closing Day: May 4, 2024
We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Closing Day Ceremony at Bonita Creek.
There are some exciting championship games that we hope you will come watch & cheer on!
6U: 8:45 a.m., fields 1 & 2, both 6U teams
8U: - 9:45 a.m., field2, Championship Game
10U: 10 a.m., field 1, Championship Game
After the games and division awards for the 8U & 10U teams, we will kick off the Closing Day Ceremony at 12 p.m. on field 1.
12 p.m.: Closing Day Remarks
12:10 p.m.: Trophies 8U 1&2 Place and Participation Medals
12:35 p.m.: Sportsmanship awards
12:50 p.m.: Ball Drop!!!
See whose ball drops closest to the pin and wins the $$$
1 p.m.: One free ice cream for each player
The snack bar will be open and have pizza for purchase.
Nike Softball Sports Camp at Vanguard University!
June 17-20 & June 24-27
Get in on the action at Nike Softball Camp Vanguard University in Southern California! All softball players who attend will learn valuable skills that they can transfer into their game to help them become better softball players. Instruction will cover all aspects of softball including fielding, hitting, baserunning, and team play.

The Mission of Newport Mesa Girls Softball is to provide a positive and safe environment for girls to participate in friendly competition, develop athletic skills and build self-esteem while learning to play the game of fastpitch softball. Newport Mesa Girls Softball is dedicated to the principles of teamwork, sportsmanship, friendship, leadership and citizenship. Managers, coaches, players and parents will strive to live by these principles both on and off the field.

Recreation Softball (AKA Rec Ball)
Recreation softball is the main softball program and is offered in the Spring and Fall seasons. During these seasons, players are put into the following age groups – 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U. All players are guaranteed playing time. Every team has a parent-volunteer coach and volunteer assistant coaches.
Select Softball
Select softball is the opportunity for players to play at a higher level & be challenged more as a player. When you play on the Select team you are committing to spending additional time working out with your teammates through organized practices and possibly lessons. Tryouts are mandatory for Select.
